YUM BOTIC, which in Mayan means “thank you”, is a spacious three-bedroom home on a pristine private 213  foot beach in Uvero, Mahahual.

YUM BOTIC is not for everyone - If you don't need the nightlife, are looking for a place to get away from it all and be surrounded by palm trees and sea and a place to calm the soul - YUM BOTIC is for you.

YUM BOTIC is privately owned by S. Ackoff, an artist living in New York City. Her love of the sea is apparent in the fact that you can see the Caribbean from every angle of the house.

Beachfront: Yum Botic sits 100' from the Caribbean's warm water. With unobstructed views of white sand from the house to the beach. Yum Botic has a sandy beach that is minutes from great snorkeling.

With Jungle in the rear and on both sides, Yum Botic is quiet and secluded.

Kitchen

The fully equipped kitchen has built in wooden cabinets, granite countertops and a Whirlpool refrigerator and gas stove. A French press and Melita filters are at hand for your morning coffee.  A half bath is besides the kitchen area.

Off the Grid power and conservation:

YUM BOTIC is sustained totally by solar and wind power with a back up generator, we don’t provide electric coffee makers or microwaves. Any heat producing electronics such as hair dryers are not allowed. Rainwater is the source for water which is stored in a underground cistern below the porch. During the dry season water must be trucked in. Water conservation is essential. Bottled water is provided for drinking.

Bedrooms 2 & 3

Yum Botic has three bedrooms each with private baths . The spacious 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have Queen sized beds and are identical. One is on the 2nd floor and opens out onto a balcony, the ground floor bedroom opens out onto a beach level veranda A roomy bedroom with a full bath with a marble topped sink also graces the first floor.  The bedroom has it’s own sliding glass screened door out to the patio. .

Master Bedroom

An interior hard wood staircase provides access to two bedrooms on the second floor.  The spacious master bedroom has three sliding doors that open out onto an expansive terrace.  From there, one can watch spectacular sunrises and marvelous sunsets. The master bedroom’s rounded full bath has a double head shower. 

The covered beach side deck runs the length of the house with 3 Hammocks

Rates for Yum Botic

• Rates do not include IVA
• There is a minimum of 7 days rental or additional cleaning charge of $100 for stays less than 1 week.
• Yum Botic requires a $300 security deposit . The security deposit will be returned to you within 15 days of your departure.
• For each additional person over 6 there is a $15 charge per person per day. Maximum of 8 persons
• These are introductory prices and subject to change.

YUM BOTIC's quite beach. If you know the beaches of Uvero - you know of their peaceful and gentle waves - Cranes and other water birds often rest on the sea grass. The beach has sandy areas for swimming and good snorkeling is nearby.

To the north side of the property, palms provide shade and privacy.
